Senaprangan (also written Sena Prangon) is one of Dhaka’s largest and most prestigious event venues, located at Matikata, MP Check Post, Dhaka Cantonment. The complex is owned and monitored by the Army Welfare Trust, and is widely used for weddings, receptions, corporate functions, conferences, convocations, and large-scale institutional events.
With roughly 141,000+ sq. ft. of built space, multiple halls across several floors, and parking for 400 cars, Senaprangan is built to host very large gatherings — from grand wedding receptions to auditorium-scale programs — with strong on-site security typical of cantonment venues.

Booking Shifts & Timing
- Day Shift: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Evening Shift: 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM (midnight)
Seasonal Discounts & Charges
- Ramadan discount: 50% off standard rent for the Premium Hall and Grand Hall.
- Online payments: An additional 2% SSL (payment gateway) charge applies.
- Pre-booking: A provisional hold can be placed with a Tk. 5,000/- pre-booking fee; the remaining full balance must be paid within 72 hours, or the booking is subject to cancellation/suspension.
Catering & Event Management
Senaprangan operates on a closed enlisted-vendor system — catering and event management companies must be selected from the Army Welfare Trust’s official approved list; no outside vendor is permitted. This makes vendor selection especially important for clients, since food, décor, and hospitality are controlled through a curated panel rather than open choice.
