Overview
RAOWA Convention Hall is one of Dhaka’s most sought-after event venues, owned and managed by the Retired Armed Forces Officers’ Welfare Association (RAOWA). Located at Mohakhali DOHS, the complex houses three distinct halls — Helmet, Anchor, and Eagle — rented out to the general public (non-members) for weddings, gaye holud, corporate events, conferences, and cultural programs.
RAOWA authority manages the halls directly, including air conditioning, in-built sound systems, and generator backup. Clients are free to choose their own stage design, gate, and hall decoration — but food and event management must come from RAOWA’s enlisted caterers and event managers, which is where Nuruzzaman Catering Service comes in as a trusted partner.

Booking Shifts & Timing
Halls are rented in two daily shifts:
Shift 1 — Day Shift Saturday–Thursday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Friday only: 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Shift 2 — Evening Shift Saturday–Thursday: 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM Friday only: 6:30 PM – 12:30 AM
Each shift is capped at 6 hours. Running over time (maximum one extra hour) incurs an additional charge — Tk. 12,000/- for Helmet and Tk. 6,000/- each for Anchor and Eagle.
Indicative Rental Rates (Non-Member)
Day Shift
- Helmet: Tk. 1,25,000 rent + Tk. 25,000 security deposit = Tk. 1,50,000 total
- Anchor: Tk. 45,000 rent + Tk. 10,000 security deposit = Tk. 55,000 total
- Eagle: Tk. 30,000 rent + Tk. 10,000 security deposit = Tk. 40,000 total
Evening Shift
- Helmet: Tk. 2,00,000 rent + Tk. 25,000 deposit + Tk. 30,000 lighting = Tk. 2,55,000 total
- Anchor: Tk. 60,000 rent + Tk. 10,000 deposit + Tk. 15,000 lighting = Tk. 85,000 total
- Eagle: Tk. 40,000 rent + Tk. 10,000 deposit + Tk. 10,000 lighting = Tk. 60,000 total

Booking Process
- A provisional booking can be placed at the Convention Hall Booking Desk, in person or via SMS to the RAOWA hotline, subject to availability.
- Full payment (hall rent + security deposit + lighting charge, where applicable) must be made by pay order in the name of “RAOWA Complex” or cash within 48 hours of the provisional booking, or it is automatically cancelled.
- Only one temporary hold is allowed per booking — no extensions beyond 48 hours.
- RAOWA reserves the right to cancel any booking in the event of nationwide political unrest, natural calamities, or other overriding circumstances — with a full refund in such cases.

What’s Included vs. What Clients Arrange
Managed by RAOWA:
- Air conditioning, sound system, generator
- Free chairs, dining tables, and table cloths (chair cover Tk. 40/-, ribbon Tk. 20/- extra)
Arranged by the client (via enlisted vendors):
- Food & catering (must be an enlisted caterer — like Nuruzzaman Catering)
- Event management, stage, gate, and hall decoration
- Crockery, cutlery, waiter, and cleaning service — approx. Tk. 100/- per guest, paid to the caterer
Function without food service (e.g., AGM, concerts, fairs): a furniture-use charge applies — Tk. 40,000/- (Helmet), Tk. 20,000/- (Anchor), Tk. 10,000/- (Eagle), which includes waiter service (6, 4, and 2 persons respectively).
